The 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games run Aug 22–26 at Beijing's "Ice Ribbon" Olympic oval, its biggest edition yet: 2,056 robots from 660+ teams across 16 countries competing in 51 events. Beyond track-and-field sprints and jumps, this year adds scenario events like tug-of-war, weightlifting and pitch-pot — part sporting event, part real-world capability benchmark for humanoids. A battalion of Booster T2s was shown prepping for the opening ceremony, with observers calling Booster the most determined Unitree competitor.
