A user reports serious problems deleting OpenAI's new memories: after clearing individual memories and eventually nuking everything, memories consistently return once conversations about deleting them are removed. They tried phone, desktop app, and web — all failed. Asking to delete memory in a regular chat makes the model just stop responding and the memory icon disappear, and they later received a warning like "to protect your data we limited the deleting option."
