Google releases first general-purpose sign-language-to-text model, powers Android ASL input

Google's team announced the first general-purpose sign-language-to-text (SL2T) model, now powering a new ASL input feature on Android phones. The team confirmed plans to expand beyond American Sign Language (ASL) to support more sign languages.
