According to the Financial Times, Beijing has allowed small batches of Nvidia's H200 chips to enter mainland China to support leading AI companies. ByteDance and Tencent have each received approval for around 10,000 H200 processors in recent weeks, with a few other Chinese tech groups expected to receive similar approvals soon. Due to US export controls, the H200 is at least two generations behind Nvidia's most powerful chips.
