Cerebras introduced the Wafer-Scale Backpack, a self-contained 3D assembly integrating the wafer, power, liquid cooling, high-speed I/O, and control electronics. This design reduces component count by 50%, simplifies manufacturing, and cuts deployment time from days to hours. Each rack holds three 'backpacks', aiming to standardize infrastructure and minimize changes for hyperscalers between generations.
