Hands-on: Gemini 3.7 Flash is crazy fast in reasoning mode but loses track in engineering
haider1 · x · 2026-08-19
A developer tested Gemini 3.7 Flash and found it to be "crazy fast" even in reasoning mode.
However, for engineering a codebase, it remains average as it loses goals, boundaries, and contracts fairly quickly. On the upside, it is better at conveying information than Sol and Opus, offers a much easier interaction experience, and is super thorough.
