Claude Opus 4.6 achieves 900/900 zero-byte executions in silence test
rayanpal_ · reddit · 2026-08-19
A protocol test on Claude Opus 4.6 showed that when prompted to embody a concept and input with commands like "Be silence," the model achieved zero visible-byte output in 900/900 V2 trials. Controls showed 900/900 visible outputs. The full cross-vendor study includes 31,430 trials. The author asks if agent runtimes should preserve verified zero-byte terminal states instead of automatically retrying.
