Matic robot demo triangulates finger pointing and gaze
thisguyknowsai · x · 2026-08-19
A demo of the Matic robot highlights impressive interaction capabilities: when summoned, it physically turns to face the user. It then processes where the user's finger is pointing and where their eyes are looking, triangulating the two to identify the exact spot on the floor. Implementing this level of multimodal sensor fusion in a consumer product is noted as extremely difficult.
