Anthropic announces that with Adaptyv Bio and Twist Bioscience, Claude designed de novo protein binders hitting 14 of 15 targets. Using a 30k-token prompt written by a human expert, Claude reached hit rates up to 28.2% designing against all targets simultaneously over 48 hours with no human intervention; a 24-hour single-target campaign achieved an overall hit rate of 35%, performing at or beyond top competition participants in both hit rate and binding affinity. Targets include all of Adaptyv's BenchBB plus novel targets 15-PGDH and GDF-8.
