OpenAI released Codex CLI Rust version v0.148.0.
New Features:
- Export complete TUI conversations to Markdown via /export.
- Fork sessions with codex exec fork and archive/restore sessions from the resume picker.
- Draft prompts while TUI initializes, with progress shown during startup.
- View estimated thread credits or cost in /status, status lines, and terminal titles.
- Built-in support for Amazon Bedrock Runtime, including AWS profiles, regions, and GPT-5.6 routing.
- Hooks can now run commands asynchronously and invoke MCP tools.
Bug Fixes:
- Model switches and settings updates no longer leave stale instructions.
- Resumed sessions correctly restore the working directory and approval policy.
- Improved reconnection logic for provider outages and MCP server OAuth reauthentication.
- Fixed Sandbox restriction handling for denied paths across Linux and Windows.
