DatologyAI Unveils DataSmith: An Autonomous Agent for Data Research

pratyushmaini · x · 2026-08-19

DatologyAI has released DataSmith, an autonomous agent system designed to automate data research. By scaling test-time compute, it allows agents to synthesize findings and autonomously execute the full research loop—including data curation, augmentation, decontamination, model training, evaluation, and diagnosis—to generate new hypotheses.

In benchmarks evaluating post-training via data modifications, LLMs running on DataSmith consistently outperformed the same models in a standard coding harness. DataSmith addresses the time-intensive nature of large-scale data research, aiming to automate data curation pipelines.
