Claude Code 2.1.235 adds spellcheck and --eval-dir, fixes prompt cache invalidation
ClaudeCodeLog · x · 2026-08-19
Claude Code shipped v2.1.235 just a day after 2.1.234. The headline feature is an optional spellcheck setting that underlines misspelled words as you type, using your installed aspell, hunspell, or ispell.
Fixes include whole-prompt-cache invalidation when a language server disconnects or reconnects mid-session, and misaligned nested markdown list items at depth 3+ (now with hanging indents).
On the CLI surface, a new --eval-dir option was added and the claude-folder model entry was removed. Prompt files grew by 3 (+6.7%) and prompt tokens by 11,211 (+6.4%), with system vs. tools at roughly 74/26.
