Frontier labs fear pace; corporate liability may force deliberate slowdown

It is clear that frontier lab employees are legitimately freaked out by the pace of progress. From a corporate liability, optics, and GR standpoint, no lab wants to be the origin of an "AI lab leak." This suggests that we should expect a deliberate slowdown in development, regardless of the "China specter" competition dynamics.
