Preregistration helps balance data exploration with spurious result risks

While data exploration is critical, tailoring analysis to the idiosyncrasies of a dataset can increase the risk of spurious results. Chapter 11 of Experimentology explains why preregistration serves as a helpful tool to balance these competing concerns.
