MIT and Stanford launch Public AI Observatory for usage measurement

Researchers from MIT, Stanford, and 12 other academic institutions have launched the Public AI Observatory, public infrastructure designed to measure how people actually use AI assistants in the wild. The project aims to answer major questions about AI, technology, and society by providing data to researchers.
