OpenAI launches ChatGPT for Teens: ages 13-17 auto-enrolled, romance and self-harm content banned

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Teens. Users aged 13-17 are automatically sorted into the experience with no opt-out needed. The mode blocks romantic or sexual chats, self-harm content, and the model acting like it has feelings for the user.
Notably, the release comes right after a string of lawsuits over teens and self-harm, including a case that made headlines last week. The author calls it a good move.
