Tests Show Multi-Agent Workflows Currently Less Efficient Than Single Models

A benchmark of 10 tasks comparing forced sub-agent usage, risk-gated routing, and a single model (Sol) revealed that the single model approach was more efficient in all scenarios except for median time. The author concludes that current multi-agent workflows are still primitive and will not improve significantly until orchestration capabilities are absorbed directly into model weights.
