Open-source SRT whiteboard animation skill: hook it to Codex and ship 100 videos a day
huangyun_122 · x · 2026-08-19
The GitHub project srt-whiteboard-animation (959 stars) turns SRT subtitles into warm-toned whiteboard hand-drawn videos: scenes are split by subtitle narrative order, regions/timing/subtitle links are managed via annotation., and each region is drawn with continuous streaming strokes—ink linework first, then color—before exporting to MP4. The workflow is subtitle-driven with step-by-step confirmation (storyboard, linework, annotations) to avoid wasting render costs. The poster wired it into Codex and turned a classic forum post into a hand-drawn video with themed voiceover, claiming 100 videos a day is realistic.
