Comfy MCP goes local and open-source, letting agents drive your actual ComfyUI install
PurzBeats · x · 2026-08-19
ComfyUI has announced that Comfy MCP is now local and open-source — the top request since Comfy Cloud MCP shipped in June.
In local mode, an agent sees your actual install: every node including custom nodes, plus every model on disk. It can fetch files, start your instance, and get a workflow to the point where it runs — billed as the easiest way to help with local Minimax H3 workflows. Cloud MCP still does everything it did before.
