Agent tracing becomes key for production debugging as Cloudflare adds support
krishnan · x · 2026-08-18
Cloudflare added agent tracing for Workers-based agents, highlighting that agents can return HTTP 200 while actually failing (e.g., wrong tool, stale context), a gap traditional telemetry misses.
New features include:
- Spans for invocations, model calls, and tool execution
- Token and model metadata attached
- Session replay across messages and reasoning
- Dashboard tying traces to conversation IDs
This observability is critical as agents move from demos to production workflows.
