Study: LLM Agents Lack Time Awareness for Task Duration
ziv_ravid · x · 2026-08-18
Ziv Ravid retweeted and commented on a blog post studying the time awareness of LLM agents. The research finds that models are unable to estimate the wall-clock time for future tasks or retrospectively estimate how long they have been working.
The author speculates this might be related to the general inability to represent and work with numbers, as well as the inherent difficulty of making predictions.
