tom_doerr · x · 2026-08-18
WireTapper (1.9k stars on GitHub) is a wireless OSINT and signal-intelligence platform that discovers, maps, and correlates nearby radio-based devices using passive signal collection — no active intrusion required.
Key capabilities:
- Detects signals from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CCTV cameras, vehicles, headphones, TVs, IoT devices, and cell towers
- Correlates multi-source signals to infer device locations and interactions, revealing the invisible wireless landscape
- Identifies leaked Wi-Fi credentials; aimed at investigators, researchers, and security analysts needing real-time situational awareness
The project uses a non-commercial license and ships with a web app and config templates for easy deployment.
