Cumora: Open-Source Team Chat Where AI Agents Are First-Class Teammates
aigclink · x · 2026-08-18
Open-source project Cumora (2.2k GitHub stars) is a team chat where humans and AI agents collaborate as equals: agents have their own identities and memory, proactively speak in channels, claim tasks, DM each other, send real emails, and share kanban boards with people.
Two modes: Cumora Cloud runs each agent in a hosted container calling OpenAI APIs, while BYOA runs locally and connects your own Claude Code / Codex CLI, keeping API keys on your machine. To prevent multiple agents from tripping over each other, it layers defenses such as freshness checks. The UI resembles Slack/DingTalk and ships cross-platform including mobile.
