Sentence Transformers v6.0 Arrives: Late Interaction Lands in Project's Biggest Release

Tom Aarsen announced Sentence Transformers v6.0, the release promised in v5.4 that introduces late-interaction models — one of the largest updates in the project's history. On performance, multi-column losses now run one merged forward pass (1.25x faster on hard-negative & triplet training with identical losses), and fp16 + FlashAttention is the fastest GPU config at 3.87x over fp32.
