Experiment shows harness evolution can optimize inference costs

Inspired by harness engineering, the author conducted an experiment to see if evolutionary ideas apply to optimizing for score = f(price) instead of just pass rates. Results confirm that the method can evolve optimal harnesses for various budgets. The project is open source, showing that evolved candidates go beyond prompt engineering to include observation compression and adaptive reasoning.
