georgemillo · x · 2026-08-18
An analysis of 23,000 AI-generated PRs found that inexperienced developers opened 2x more PRs (2x bigger on average) than experienced ones. However, their PRs generated 4x more review comments, were 31% less likely to be accepted, and took 5x longer to resolve. Conclusion: AI doesn't close the gap between those who know what they're doing and those who don't.
