AI video company Higgsfield raised a $400M Series B led by DST Capital at a $5.4B post-money valuation — over 4x its January $1.3B mark. ARR has reached $700M, with 30M+ users, 390 Fortune 500 clients, and 70% of platform activity from commercial ads.

Its strategy isn't building foundation models but an agent orchestration layer atop Seedance, Kling, Veo and Sora: CinemaStudio translates cinematography language (Dolly, Tracking) into generation instructions, SoulID handles character consistency, and the system decomposes tasks and picks models automatically. In May it produced the 95-minute AI film HellGrind with Seedance 2.0 — a 15-person team, 14 days, $500K budget — premiering at Cannes.

The article compares Chinese analogues Flova and LibTV, arguing competition is shifting from "whose model is best" to who best orchestrates tasks and delivers cheaply: agents are becoming the OS on top of models.
