aigleeson · x · 2026-08-18
In 2013, developer Mark McDowall created Sonarr (later followed by Radarr for movies) to automate the hunting and downloading of TV shows. Unlike streaming services that remove content and raise prices, this one-time setup offers a growing, ad-free library, effectively challenging the streaming model.
