In the second evaluation of South Korea's Sovereign AI Foundation Model project (₩530B / $0.36B total through 2027, with companies cut every six months), Motif Technologies was eliminated, while Upstage, LG AI Research, and SKT advanced—and their NVIDIA B200 allocation rises from 768 to about 1,000 GPUs.
Scoring: benchmark 40 pts (NIA benchmark + Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index), expert validation 35 pts (10 industry/academic experts), public validation 25 pts (49 professional users + 185 general users). Models and AAII scores: LG's K-EXAONE 2.0 (750B-A37B, 31), SKT's A.X K2 (688B-A33B, 35), Upstage's Solar Open 2 (250B-A15B, 37) and Solar Pro 4 (42), and eliminated Motif 3 (314B-A13B, 47). Notably, Motif had the highest benchmark score but lost ground in expert and public validation.
