Opinion: Second-tier AI labs may become the dumbest business, banned from frontier models

A blogger proposed a counterintuitive view on the future of the AI industry: the world's "dumbest business" in the future might be the second or third-place AI labs. The reasoning is that while everyone else will use the frontier models, these competitor labs will be banned from using the capabilities of those leading models.
