A developer launched Frateca, a mobile app powered by Gemini that converts text from various sources—including webpages, Substack articles, PDFs, copied text, and even photos—into high-quality natural speech. The app supports background playback and is privacy-friendly by default. Built with React Native (Expo) and NodeJS, Frateca is now available on iOS, Android, and the web.
