Google to Buy Spirit Airlines Data for $10M for AI Training

Google agreed to pay $10 million to acquire internal business data from bankrupt Spirit Airlines for product development and AI model training. The dataset includes employee emails, Teams messages, spreadsheets, calendars, and operational data. It will be de-identified to exclude customer information or PII. The sale still requires bankruptcy court approval.
