Vals AI raised $40M in Series A funding at a $400M valuation led by a16z. The company announced the general availability of Vals Smith for creating custom coding benchmarks from GitHub repos. It also released the RSI Index (with CoreWeave) and ReverseEngBench (with multiple universities), plus initial work on mental health benchmarks.
