Former US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has said that UBI as a response to AI is "like the end of America." She now heads a newly launched, extremely well-funded organization aimed at steering the country toward anything but a basic income in response to AI — a direct pushback against the "AI → UBI" narrative.
