All 3 Major US Airlines Now Ban Humanoid Robots From Flights

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines have officially banned human-like and animal-like robots from passenger cabins and checked luggage. American's internal policy update prohibits staff and passengers from bringing such robots on board — even if a separate seat is purchased — and explicitly states robots do not qualify as emotional support devices, closing that loophole.
With American following Delta and United, all three major US carriers now ban humanoid robots from passenger travel, citing safety concerns including large lithium-ion batteries. The policy covers robots resembling or imitating humans or animals in appearance, movement, or behavior.
