The Codex desktop app shipped a More Details feature: highlight any text in the chat and a popup offers "Add to chat", "More details", and "Ask in side chat". Choosing "More details" produces a detailed explanation of the selected passage.
The author finds this solves the problem of incomprehensible LLM prose, especially on technical projects. He considers GPT 5.6 Sol reasonably comprehensible overall but sometimes too terse, which this feature neatly fixes. A short demo video is included.
