Ex-SpaceX engineers build AI robotic factory for steel parts

Former SpaceX engineers founded 1872 to automate steel parts manufacturing using AI software and robots. Launching in Cincinnati, the startup aims to automate most of the fabrication process for steel skids used in AI data centers and nuclear reactors by 2027. The CEO targets 80% autonomous operations to balance efficiency with diminishing returns.
