Tesla has told employees it is gearing up for a public launch of Cybercab, starting with a rollout in Austin, Texas, as soon as this month, The Information reported.
Preparation Details:
- Initial Phase: Offering rides to employees on public roads first.
- Follow-up Plan: Incorporating Cybercabs into its robotaxi service in Austin a few days later.
- Readiness Steps: Conducting test drives, offering employee rides on private roads, and training with local first responders in recent weeks.
- Vehicle Status: Production versions have been tested on public roads since June, with production ramp-up expected later this year.
