Claude Code v2.1.234 adds GitLab MR badges and security hardening
ashwin-ant · ghdev · 2026-08-18
Anthropic released Claude Code v2.1.234 with several updates. Key features include the CLAUDECODEPROJECTDIRNAME environment variable for custom project directories, a selection:clear keybinding, and GitLab merge request status badges in the footer (requires glab CLI). It also introduces automatic session resumption when usage limits reset. Security improvements harden against NTLM credential-leak vectors by rejecting Windows NT-namespace paths. Various bug fixes address network permission issues in long sessions, Markdown rendering slowdowns, and repository detection errors.
