Gemini could easily catch phishing, so why does Gmail still let it through?

altryne complains that Gmail's spam filtering has gotten noticeably worse, with obvious phishing emails slipping through regularly. He only spotted a spoofed "1Password portal" domain thanks to Arc browser's URL view. He argues Gemini Spark can easily detect such phishing, questioning why phishing still thrives in 2026 with so much unused Gemini GPU capacity.
