Cara founder: threats and doxxing are not OK — channel anger into action against non-consensual scraping
zemotion · x · 2026-08-18
Cara founder Zhang Jingna (zemotion) stated in her thread that while the unconsented scraping of 12M images caused real harm, doxxing, threatening harm, and telling someone to kill themselves are absolutely not acceptable — traumatizing to experience and damaging to the artists' cause. She urged artists to channel their anger into action: drafting letters to lawmakers, calling their offices repeatedly, and demanding that non-consensual scraping stop being legal.
