ChatGPT App Leaks Stdio MCP Servers

A bug report details a memory leak where the ChatGPT desktop app spawns new stdio MCP servers every few minutes without terminating the old ones during a live session. While shutdown cleanup works correctly, the in-session replacement logic fails to kill superseded processes, leading to dozens of idle, retained processes over time.
