Bedrock Deploys Fully Autonomous Excavators at Live Construction Sites
Scobleizer · x · 2026-08-18
BedrockRobotics announced the deployment of its first fully autonomous excavators, running live on multiple construction sites with partners like Sundt and Zachry Construction. Making an excavator fully autonomous is considered one of the hardest problems in robotics due to high degrees of freedom, loose unstructured terrain, and dynamic conditions. The milestone was achieved through decades of autonomous vehicle scaling experience and deep collaboration with contractors.
