Interactive diagram: Visualizing the parameter difference between Full Fine-Tuning and LoRA
ProfTomYeh · x · 2026-08-18
Prof. Tom Yeh released the ninth part of his "AI by Hand" series, featuring an interactive diagram to compare Full Fine-Tuning and LoRA side-by-side. The visual aid aims to demonstrate why LoRA is cheaper by allowing users to adjust the rank and observe the change in trainable parameters compared to static full fine-tuning counts. The post also includes a T/F quiz to test understanding of their cost and structure.
