New Dataset: 35k Hugging Face Model Summaries Generated for $0.43 per 1k Rows
vanstriendaniel · x · 2026-08-18
A new dataset containing 35,837 TL;DR summaries of Hugging Face model and dataset cards has been released. Generated using Qwen2.5-72B, it features precise controllability over summary length (1, 2, or 3 sentences) with 98.5% exact compliance.
Technical Implementation:
- Cost Efficiency: Built using Datatrove's new Jobs backend, the entire pipeline ran on Hugging Face Jobs for just $0.43 per 1,000 summaries, requiring no local GPU.
- Data Quality: The dataset is deduped and decontaminated.
- Upcoming Guide: The author plans to release a guide tomorrow on how to build this type of distillation dataset yourself.
