Why does Deepseek Harness feel so much smoother with a local Qwen 3 8B?

Running a local Qwen 3 8B (Q6), the poster compared Opencode/Openchamber (previous favorite), Pi agent, Hermes, and Deepseek Harness (DSH). New Qwen tends to overthink by default, requiring effort to tame in other tools — but in DSH the thinking effort feels just right, results are great, and the context window seems endless compared to Opencode. They're asking whether DSH is genuinely special or their complicated Opencode settings just don't suit the new Qwen.
