OpenAI secures 8GW Ohio data center with $1.5B Nvidia investment

OpenAI has secured a lease for an 8GW data center campus in Ohio. Nvidia plans to invest $1.5B in SB Energy and provide credit support for the first 4.25GW of land, power, and shell construction. SB Energy will build and own the campus, while OpenAI defers payments until capacity becomes operational, shifting construction risk to SB Energy.
