OpenAI quietly disbanded its catastrophic risk team: FT

According to the Financial Times, OpenAI has quietly disbanded its "superalignment" team dedicated to assessing long-term catastrophic risks. The team was previously co-led by co-founders Ilya Sutskever and Jan Leike to ensure superintelligence safety. Some members have reportedly been reassigned to other research groups.
