Alibaba Open-Sources MyContext to Build Personal Work Context for Agents

智东西 · wechat · 2026-08-17

Alibaba's Qianwen Office has open-sourced 'MyContext', an infrastructure project designed to bridge the gap between enterprise AI workflows and data availability. Unlike traditional knowledge bases, MyContext integrates with Feishu and DingTalk to collect work traces—chats, documents, and meeting records—and processes them into a 'personal work archive' for agents. The architecture involves data ingestion, vectorization, knowledge graph construction, and distillation to extract user patterns, decision habits, and playbooks. It prioritizes local storage (SQLite) and data sovereignty, implementing strict sandboxing to prevent prompt injection. Currently in developer preview, the tool shows promise in context management but faces setup complexities and stability issues, requiring manual dependency installation and lacking polished integration.
