A 25-year-old former Goldman Sachs analyst was sentenced to eight years' probation after ChatGPT reported messages he sent detailing plans to kidnap, rape, and kill his ex-girlfriend. The chatbot's safety mechanisms flagged the conversation and forwarded it to the FBI, who used the logs to obtain a search warrant.
